Monash University Women's Rugby Union Club is a young, energetic and fun club. Formed in 1997 we have built a core of players and are gradually establishing our reputation both on and off the field.  We cater for a range of individuals, including beginners, social players, and also have a number of players who have and currently do represent Victoria in the National Women's Rugby Union Championships.

Monash is not just about playing - it's about trying a new sport and meeting new people.  For most of our players University is their first opportunity to play rugby, therefore our training is designed to introduce players to the game and the rules.  Rugby is a team game in which players need to depend on each other.  Consequently we have developed a strong social infrastructure which makes rugby the best way to make new friends.

Monash University Women's Rugby Union Club is not just for Univeristy students.  We have past and present students, graduates and community members who are all welcome to come down and play 'The Game they play in Heaven'.

On the social side we organise pre-season and end of season camps, Pub crawls, Trivia night, Beer bingo, Pizza nights, Karaoke nights and lots more.
